"Qigong for Spring"
The Rangiora course is Tuesdays from 10.30am - 11.35am
Each season offers different Qigong exercises.
Spring has a different energy than winter. In spring, energy awakens. As in spring, our energy begins to go outward and is renewed when we allow the natural process.
With Qigong, we support this process. We activate the organism and help to expand our energy after the cold season.
Learn "Embracing the Tree" and "Energiser Breathing" to activate your metabolism and support centering and calm. Spring Qigong encourages to start detoxifying the liver and gall bladder.
Postures are moving or stationary, both standing and sitting.
This is what awaits you in this Qigong course:
- We start with a 10-15 minute Qigong warm-up sequence
- In the 65-minute class we practice an "easy-to-follow" Qigong sequence
- In the 8-week term you learn the beautiful "Swimming Dragon" Qigong
- The last part is a "Stillness"Qigong practice in sitting posture - Duration 5-12 minutes.
- To Spring belongs liver, gall bladder, tendons and the windows are the eyes. The movements are in a soft, flowing rhythm, which can improve the respiratory, blood circulation and vitality. The tendons, fascia, ligaments and muscles get massaged and the breath gets deeper.
- Through the natural, unrestricted postures the meridians or energy channels open more, so the life force "Qi" can circulate freely and increase.
- With daily practice your body will become more supple, conscious and your movements graceful
